The UK standard is 85 x 55mm, the same proportions as a credit card. Sometimes called a visiting card or a name card. The US standard is 89 x 51mm and the European is 90 x 50mm. We also print square (55 x 55mm or 85 x 85mm), folded, mini and fully custom dimensions cut to any specification. Die-cutting available at Camden for non-rectangular shapes.

300gsm silk is the working professional default: smooth, prints both sides cleanly, takes colour well. 350 to 400gsm adds noticeable weight in the hand. 450gsm cotton is the letterpress and deep-emboss weight. 550gsm Colorplan is premium territory, the card that sits upright in the wallet and gets remarked on. Yes. Send print-ready artwork to post@cityimages.co.uk or walk in with a USB, and collect the same afternoon from Mayfair W1 or Camden NW1. Two to three hours on standard stocks for runs up to 5,000 cards. Lamination clears same day if the file arrives early enough. Hot foil same day depends on the foiling press schedule, and we will tell you straight when you order.

Pricing depends on stock, finish, quantity and turnaround. Standard 300 to 400gsm silk is the most affordable starting point. Premium stocks, foiling, embossing, edge painting and digital metallic finishes are quoted per project because every job is different. Yes. Both studios run a working stock bar with Colorplan, GF Smith, Mohawk, Fedrigoni and Conqueror laid out by weight from 300gsm silk through to 550gsm Colorplan. No. Our in-house design team builds the card from brief to print-ready file: logo, brand colours, job titles, copy, all set into the layout with proper typographic hierarchy and a digital proof on the actual stock. We also fix existing artwork as standard. File checks are free. PDF at 300dpi preferred but we accept any format.

Hot foil in any colour, blind emboss and deboss, spot UV, soft touch and gloss lamination, edge painting in any Pantone, thermographic raised ink.
